2011 Walk for Wildlife - Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary
PRemier Award of Merit
The Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a 700-acre urban wildlife refuge featuring live animal exhibits, educational displays, miles of hiking and walking trails, and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. In addition, the Sanctuary is also the second largest wildlife rehabilitation center in Wisconsin, taking in more than 4,500 injured and orphaned wildlife each year.
To help support the animal rehab program, the Sanctuary raises money from the Walk for Wildlife, an annual family walk that encourages participants to walk the Sanctuary’s trails and stop at information stations to meet animal ambassadors and learn about the wildlife in Wisconsin. L&F’s role was to garner media attention and to inform the community about the event.
Hoffman LLC Media Relations
PRemier Award of Excellence
Hoffman LLC is a single-source planning, design and construction firm located in Appleton, WI. While Hoffman has enjoyed positive national and trade media attention, in recent years it has not focused on the local / regional marketplace. Leonard & Finco was brought in to establish a community relations campaign that raised the profile of Hoffman and the firm’s leadership team throughout Northeast Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Plastics, Inc. (WPI) is a multi-dimensional company with five core business units (Modern Design & Development, Modern Display & Exhibits, Modern Plastics, Modern Stamping & Painting and Valley Plating & Fabricating). WPI provides ideas, innovation, prototyping, injection molding, electronic assembly and custom fabricated products to customers around the world; helping their clients bring product ideas to life. While WPI has grown through the years, its divisions were not as well-known as they could be. In order to increase WPI’s visibility within the region and in their industry, and to showcase the firms expertise, Leonard & Finco Public Relations was brought on board to develop and implement a strategy to meet and exceed WPI’s goals.
